Reed Everingham (he/him)
People have an innate capacity to self-actualise.
Hello! I’m Reed, a clinical psychotherapist, counsellor, and couples coach specialising in supporting people as they become less stuck and less tangled. I work with individuals, couples, and groups both online and in my private practice in Katoomba, NSW.

I live in Katoomba with my partner and pets. Like many Mountains folk, we moved from the city seeking a different kind of life, one with trees, a garden, and space. I feel settled, grounded and grateful to be living, working and connecting with life in a fulfilling way. That said, I understand how difficult life and the changes it brings can be. It’s not always easy to step beyond our current thinking or move through struggles we never imagined we would have.
My goal is to create safe spaces for clients where we can work together to build capacity, insight, and momentum. I hold a Grad Diploma in Counselling and a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling (both with Distinction) from Western Sydney University (WSU).
I’ve also undertaken intensive training in group leadership and facilitation with the Australian Institute of Counselling in Addictions, and couples training with the Relationship Institute Australasia and the Gottman Institute. My professional life also includes providing clinical supervision to other therapists and allied health workers, as well as working as a supervisor, educator and academic at WSU.
My therapeutic approach is person-centred, gender-affirmative, and trauma-informed. Please get in touch if this sounds like the right fit for you and your situation.
